Kelsey Gallagher is a lighting designer from Overland Park, Kansas. She received her BFA in theatre design and technology from Avila University in Kansas City , MO. In the Kansas city area, she has worked with numerous groups including, Shawnee Mission Theatre in the Park, The White Theatre, CYTKC, and Home Grown Theatre. She recently completed her MFA studies at the Ohio State University. Her most recent productions include Four People by Karie Miller an adaption of Chekov's Three Sisters, In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play) by Sarah Ruhl and Sweat by Lynn Nottage. Her thesis production, Legally Blonde: the Musical by Heather Hach, was in November of 2018 and also during her final year of graduate studies she assisted with the media design of Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Simon Stephens. She values communication and collaboration most of all. She has worked with theatre artists, visual artists, digital artists, animators, musicians, and dancers. After graduation she spent 2 years employed at Epcot Center at Walt Disney World in Orlando. She is currently the Exhibit Lighting Designer for The National Museum of the United States Air Force.
